Semper Fidelis RAM Installation

14th November 2013

Semper fidelis Lodge of RAM meets at the Masonic Hall Fleetwood which is situated on the sea front, on a cold blustery night with the weather coming straight off the Irish Sea. However all those who attended the Installation were treated to a very warm and friendly welcome.

In the Lodge room W. Bro. Tony Hough took the chair as the Commander W. Bro. George Clitheroe, who lives in Weston super Mare could not be there.

W. Bro. Hough welcomed W. Bro. Keith Alan Beardmore RAMGR. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master, as the guest of honour.
All present knew they were in for something special after they were treated to a prefect opening.
The business of the Lodge was dealt with; the highlight was the Provincial Grand Senior Warden W. Bro Giles Berkley, being successful balloted for as a joining member.

The next item was to Install Bro. Alan Fairhurst as Worship Commander, Alan will be known to many, as he was last year’s Acting Provincial Grand Senior Deacon in the Mark Degree.

Alan was installed in an almost perfect ceremony by W. Bro Hough, and not a prompt needed. W. Bro. Clitheroe had purchased a new Commanders apron for the Lodge and Alan was delighted to be its first wearer.

After the ceremony, W. Bro. Beardmore was invited to present and explain two Grand Lodge Certificates to Brothers David Britton and Wayne Beacher. Propositions were then made for two new members, so the new Commander will have a busy year.

All the members of Semper Fidelis RAMs should be rightly proud of super evening of Royal Ark Mariner ritual, with not one book or piece of paper to seen anywhere.

The Festive Board followed, with good food and excellent banter, enjoyed by all, before having to face the bracing weather outside.
